Jane Ann Sperry
Jane Ann Sperry, 83, wife of Donald B. Sperry passed away on May 22, 2013.
Jane was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Esgar. She graduated from Lebanon High School, in Lebanon, PA in 1947 and continued her education in Elementary Education at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, OH, where she met her sweetheart, Don Sperry. They married in 1952 and raised four children.
After being a homemaker for many years, in 1973 she and Don started and built Sperry and Associates, Inc.
With tremendous passion and an incredible sense of humor, Jane lived life to the fullest.Family, friends, travel, golf and tennis were among her many joys. She was a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Spanish Krewe of Springtime Tallahassee and Town Club. Jane also gave generously of her time to many local events and organizations.
Jane is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald B. Sperry; her four children, Greg Sperry (Janice), Becky Wells (Bart), Todd Sperry (Jodi), all of Tallahassee; and Vicki Benton (Tony), of Crawfordville; her grandchildren, Dinee Benton, Curtis Benton (Heather), Amanda Zick (John), Clayton Wells (Amy), Liz Wells, Chase Sperry and Shane Sperry; and six great-grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Esgar, Jr., and grandson, Joshua Sperry.
The memorial service is 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
