Dr. Jeffrey Lynn Armstrong
Dr. Jeffrey Lynn Armstrong was born on July 27, 1957 in Tallahassee, Florida and passed away on December 10, 2012 from a variety of complications related to gastric stomach cancer.
He is survived by his mother Louverne Armstrong, daughter and son Rachel and Andrew Armstrong, his brother Joel Armstrong and his wife Patricia, and nieces and nephews Erin, Jacob, and Jenna Armstrong, aunts Eunice Snell, Margie Campbell, and Martha Dobbs, uncle Bill Hodges, the mother of his children Karen Armstrong, and loving companion Jane Piper Clendinning, and her daughter Elizabeth Anne Clendinning.
He was preceded in death by his father John Ray Armstrong.
He graduated from Leon High School in 1975.He holds a bachelors degree with double majors in biology and chemistry from Florida State University, and was a lifelong Seminole fan. He graduated from the University of South Florida Medical school in 1986 and completed his residency at the University of Florida in 1989.
He was a family practice physician with a specialization in gerontology with an active medical practice in Tallahassee for 23 years.
We have lost a loving father, devoted son, caring physician, and passionate musician. The service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist sanctuary Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. The Committal Service will be held privately at Roselawn Cemetery.
