Moses King, Sr.
Moses King, Sr., 82, departed this earthly life and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2013, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Ararat AME Church with burial at the Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553. A retired logger, Mr. King was a longtime member of Mt. Ararat and one of the early bus drivers for the Jefferson County School System.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War era. Forever treasuring his love and legacy are: his devoted wife of 57 years, Louise Allen King; children, Sharon (Donald) Russell, Moses King, Jr., Millicent (Jeffrey) Thompson, Thomas (Sherri) King, Norman King, Libby King, Vera Jordan, Freddie (Malaika) Knight and Mark (O'Vaughn) Knight; sisters, Margaret King and Rosalie Garmon; sister-in-law; Bernice Vaughn; brothers-in-law, Thomas Glenn and Stepney Mosley; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a plethora of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
