Raymond Hart, D.D.S., age 87 passed away May 9, 2013. A native of Jackson County, Florida, Dr. Hart served in the Philippines with the United States Army during World War II. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in business administration. He later served in the Air Force, and then received a degree in dentistry from Baylor University. Dr. Hart moved to Tallahassee in 1959 and practiced dentistry for 50 years.
Dr. Hart left behind a lovely wife, Frances. In addition, he is survived by his two daughters, Mary Jane Hart Gordon (husband, Mark Gordon) of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Kathryn Hart Bissette (husband, Mack Bissette) of Jacksonville, Florida. His grandchildren include John Bryce Gordon, Mary Kathryn Gordon Saltamacchio (husband, Tony Saltamacchio), Sarah Anne Gordon, Rachel Hart Gordon, Hannah Grace Gordon, Ella Griffin Bissette, and Nathan Hart Bissette. His great-grandchildren are Natalie Elizabeth Saltamacchio and Jackson Bryce Saltamacchio.
He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Hart Pridgeon of Pine Mountain, Georgia and Sue Hart McLain of Tallahassee. One sister, Mary Alice Hart Christmas, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Bevis Funeral Home, 2710 N Monroe Street, at 11:00 am on Monday, May 13, 2013. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service. There will be a reception at the Funeral Home immediately following the service.
