Robert E. Palestro
Robert E. Palestro, 74, a resident of Tallahassee, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Eden Springs Nursing Home.

A son of the late Pat and Sue Padula Palestro, he was born December 7, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York.
He served in the United States Navy. A member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, he was a 3rd degree with the Knights of Columbus.
He was also active with the Masonic Lodge, Shriners and was on the Advisory Board of the Rainbow Girls. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, bowling and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rae Gasparello Palestro; daughter, Michele Palestro; grandson, Lane Williams; special family friend, Keith Gray; parents-in-law, Ben and Ann Gasparello.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Abbey Funeral Home.
