Ronald J. Williams

Ronald J. Williams passed away on April 11, 2013 following a stroke at the age of 65. A graduate of Florida High School in 1965, he served in the U.S.
Marine Corps
for two years. Ron held advanced degrees in music composition and business administration. While in the Denver area, he founded both the Colorado Repertory Singers and The Broomfield Choral Festival, conducted the Northland Chorale and Sine Nomine Chorus and led two mass choirs at Carnegie Hall.
He received numerous awards including the Heart of Broomfield Award in 2008. He and his wife, Joan, were preparing to return to Tallahassee to retire. He will be greatly missed. In addition to Joan, he is survived by his son, Andy; daughter-in-law Tara; daughter, Becky; mother, Lucene Birch; sisters Caroline Jones and Lucy Wells; brother, Mike Williams; and granddaughters Anneliese, Alayna Gayle, and Emily.
