She loved Hazard and its people and they loved her back--especially her best friend Shannon Morton (Johnson). She graduated from Penn State University but proudly wore the Garnet and Gold in support of her husband. She was a physician's assistant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Clinique and Estée Lauder manager, a volunteer for a crisis hotline, and for the last seventeen years, a devoted wife and mother. She was the rare embodiment of inner and outer beauty.
Tonya enjoyed shopping with her pride and joy Sydney, laying on the beach, and watching D rated "scary" movies. She was a master decorator and an artist. She made our house a home and it will never be the same without her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home on Riggins Road at 1:00pm.
