W. Dexter Douglass
W. Dexter Douglass, passed away September 17, 2013 in Tallahassee. Dexter was born December 6, 1929 in Pensacola, FL, son of the late W.D. Douglass and Marie Folmar Douglass of Laurel Hill, Crestview and DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Dexter is predeceased by his son, William Dexter Douglass, III. He is survived by his wife, Terese V. Douglass; three children, Lee Rice (Casey) of Tallahassee, Lacy Douglass (Chris Floyd) of Tallahassee, Terese Douglass Barnes (Grady) of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren, Lylith Carraway (Elton) of Crawfordville, Christiahna Jordan (Nate) of Ely, England, Ashlyn Douglass Barnes (Danny Holland) of Orlando, McCay Douglass Barnes, Grayslake, IL, Sterling Douglass of Chicago, IL, Brooke Floyd, Atlanta, GA, Keagan Rice, Tallahassee; great grandchildren, Keiland Carraway and Reice Carraway of Crawfordville; and a sister, Annette Wiles (Herbie) of St. Augustine.
A memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday, September 21 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Faith Presbyterian Church (2200 North Meridian Rd, Tallahassee, Fl.) A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice (1723 Mahan Center Blvd Tallahassee, FL 32308) and The University of Florida Foundation (PO Box 14425, Gainesville, FL 32604-2425)
