Willie James "Skeeter" Baldwin Sr.

U.S. Chief Warrant Officer III Baldwin, Sr. (Retired) and Deacon of Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Columbus ,GA, was born on January 24, 1939 to the late Bessie and James Baldwin (late Edith) on March 12, 2014 Chief Warrant Officer III Baldwin demised at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Willie James was a graduate of "Class of 59" from Lincoln High School Tallahassee, FL. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War; where he served 26 dedicated years in food service management until his honorable discharge. He later worked with L & S Services as an Assistant Deputy Project Manager until he retired on January 31, 2014 with a combined total of 54 years in food service.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Strong & Jones Chapel with Moderator Bobby Duval officiating. Interment will follow at Southside Cemetery.

Although his work is done, his legacy lives with his devoted wife, Delores Baldwin; a loving son, Anthony Baldwin; a caring daughter-in-law, LaTasha Baldwin; a cherished granddaughter, Brooke McKenzie Baldwin; seven sisters, Willie Mae Footman (Andrew), Cornelia Brunson (Gunsie) of Jacksonville, FL, Arbedella Logan (Michael)of Miami, FL, Sarah Baldwin, Doris Harrison, Leola Baldwin, Lottie M. Brooks (Corey) all of Tallahassee, FL; a brother Leroy Baldwin of Tallahassee, FL; aunts, Ella Baldwin of Tallahassee, FL, Nathalee Weatherspoon (Aunt Pluto) & Earlene Bassett both of Delray, FL; a niece, Shanda Orr of Delray Beach, FL; special cousins, Betty R. Daniels who was a cousin by birth and a sister by choice & Billy Rivers both of Tallahassee, FL, and numerous other relatives and close friends.
