John A. Fowler, 84

SPENCER - John A. Fowler, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Saint Vincent Hospital with his family by his side. He leaves his wife, Martha (Avery) Fowler; two daughters, Nancy Ann and her husband Brian C. McGann of Brimfield and Ann Marie and her husband Stephen B. Lougie of Hubbardston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. He was born in Worcester, son of S. Ethel (Cutting) and Walter Fowler. John was a U.S. Army Combat Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Worcester Regional Transit Authority, where he was a bus driver for over 25 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Morningstar Lodge and a volunteer fireman for the Town of Spencer for many years.

A private funeral service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
