NORTHBOROUGH - Paul T. Bianchi, 79, passed away Saturday, March 22nd at Beaumont Rehabilitation Center, Worcester.
Paul leaves his wife of 57 years, Jean (Forsberg) Bianchi; two sons, Dale P. Bianchi and his wife Cassandra of Lancaster and Wayne J. Bianchi and his wife Laurie of Hollis, NH; three grandchildren, Jack Bianchi, Lisa Boutette and William Mendez, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Paul's brother, David A. Bianchi predeceased him.
Paul was born in Worcester the son of Paul F. and Bertha (Alteen) Bianchi. He grew up in the Green Hill Park section of the city and graduated from North High School. Paul also graduated from Worcester Junior College and Northeastern University. After graduation, he worked for Wyman Gordon Co. in Grafton and then as a mechanical engineer at Raytheon for 35 years, retiring in 1995.
Paul enjoyed flying and was a flight instructor at the former Westborough Airport and Hanscom Air Field among others. He was an honorary member of the Northborough Rotary Club, sang in the Worcester Chorus and was involved in the Worcester Light County Opera. Paul was a jack of all trades and was always found working away at some project and even built the barn in his backyard.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caretakers who gave Paul exceptional care throughout the past year.
A visiting hour for Paul will be held on Friday, March 28th from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worcester. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606 or to the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
