Richard T. Brennan, 75

CLINTON - Richard T. Brennan, 75, of 143 Willow St., died Thursday, October 17, 2013, at home, after being stricken ill.

He leaves a brother, John Brennan, of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Mary Brennan, of Clinton; eight nieces and nephews and their families: Ellen O'Donnell, Mary Young, Patricia McNamara, Kathy Irish, Sean, Billy, James and Michael Brennan. Two brothers, James and Edward Brennan, and a sister, Mary McQuoid, predeceased him.

Dick was born and raised in Clinton, son of James and Ellen (Ford) Brennan, and was a life-long resident. A graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1952, and the former Worcester Boys Trade, he was also a US Army Veteran.

For 33 years, Dick worked at Norton Co., Worcester, as a Machinist, retiring in 1999.

A member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, and an avid Notre Dame, Atlanta Braves, and Boston Bruins fan, he was a regular at the Crystal Club, where he enjoyed visiting with other patrons.

Dick's funeral will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the funeral home on Monday morning, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Patricia McNamara Fund, c/o Merrimac Savings Bank, 1 West Main Street, Merrimac, MA 01860, Attn: Sherry Pompei, Vice President.
