Alexander Reed "Al" Lesemann

Gallatin, TN

Alexander Reed "Al" Lesemann, age 44 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 29th at 2 p.m., from the First Presbyterian Church in Gallatin, with Reverend Kyle Gott officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, March 28th from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, March 29th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Home.

Al was a spina bifida patient who overcame the obstacles of his disability and lived a full life from a wheelchair. He served as a deacon in his church, was the Vanderbilt Hospital Clinic Bowl Poster Child, was a Poster Child for Easter Seals, received the Shoney's Boot Strap Award, was a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow, and was named a Distinguished Alumni of Gallatin High School. For twenty years, Al sold marriage license in the office of the Sumner County Clerk.

Al is survived by parents, William L. Lesemann, Sr. of Ft. Pierce, FL and Betty Jo Lesemann of Gallatin, TN; brothers, William L. Lesemann, Jr., Louis F. Lesemann (Heather Anderson) and Robert T. Lesemann (Ginger); three nieces, Catharine, Hannah and Sarah Lesemann.

Contributions may be made to the Al Lesemann Memorial Scholarship Fund through Gallatin High School or Pinnacle Bank, 847 Conference Dr., Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
