BURNETTE, Betty Ann HuguleyAge 89, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died September 8, 2013 in Franklin, TN of an extended illness. Ann Burnette was born February 21, 1924 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of Charles Sidney and Bessie Ann Huguley. She was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Joe Burnette, with whom she served in Southern Baptist ministry for over 50 years in South Carolina and in Charlotte, NC. Ann is survived by her daughter, Joann Burnette Rosenbaum (Richard P. Rosenbaum, Jr.) of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Melissa Ann Rosenbaum Platt (Andrew Platt) of Nashville, TN, Adam Joseph Rosenbaum (Mary Lewis), Daniel Wayne Rosenbaum II and Michael Phillips Rosenbaum of Los Angeles, CA, and Matthew Garet Rosenbaum of Nashville, TN; and five great-grandchildren. Ann was a devoted and creative grandmother who adored her family. She had a personal ministry to missionaries and their families that reached thousands around the world. Ann began the Weekday Preschool at First Baptist Charlotte where she taught for a number of years. She was also a proud member of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Georgia, her alma mater. The family would like to thank Anu Kaushal and the staffs at Wellington Place, Willowbrook Hospice, and Claiborne Hughes for their loving care.
