David Alexander Binns
David Alexander Binns, born May 23, 1930, in Nashville died March 23, 2014, in Caddo Mills, Texas. He is preceded in death by father and mother, Frank David and Minnie Busby Binns.
Survived by wife of 58 years, Frances Smith Binns; daughter, Carolyn Binns Brown (Ron); grandchildren, David Brown (Tennille), Jason Brown, Julie Brown Booker (Chris); great grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Callie Norwood, Victoria Brown and William Brown; sister, Janet Binns Williams.
David grew up in Nashville, graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1948 and received his B.S. Degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war.
David loved and worked in the communications/technology industry most of his life, starting as an engineer for radio station WLAC-AM in Nashville. He enjoyed a successful career in many sales and engineering positions. He was a licensed pilot, loved ham radio and exploring new technology.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
