BAIRD, Ed B.Age 95 of Lebanon. August 2, 2013. Born March 3, 1918 in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Walter J. and Ethel Bouton Baird. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon and elder, the Lebanon Golf & Country Club, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an active member of the community, having owned a hardware business, involved in real estate development, and worked as an appraiser, and served on the Board of First Federal Savings and Loan. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty three years, Sara Howell Baird, on April 19, 2010. He is survived by two sons, Walter (Kathy) Baird of Nashville and Ed (Holli) Baird of Brentwood; four grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Morris of Franklin, Stuart Baird of Brentwood, Taylor Baird of Atlanta, GA and Emily Baird of Atlanta, GA; great-grandson, Connor Preston Morris. His remains rest at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Lebanon, where the family will receive friends Tuesday 3-7 p.m. Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, with Rev.
