BARNETT, George Clifton Age 88 of Donelson. March 13, 2013. Born in Watertown, TN, he was the son of the late George Robert and Carrie Naomi Harden Barnett, and was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Grice, Gladys Wright and Alota Frances King; brothers, Edward Barnett, Roy, Jimmy and Frank Harden, Jr. He served with the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a sales representative for many years with Triopane, Ugite and Amerigas Propane Companies. As a young man, he worked as a cowboy in Fordtran, TX, where he met the love of his life, his late wife, Pearl Irene Hensley. George served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Silver Springs, Harsh Chapel, and Lakewood Baptist Churches. He is survived by his children, Morgan Blake Barnett and wife Lisa of White Bluff, Robin Richard and husband Daniel of Clarksville, and Roger Wade Barnett and wife Susan of Donelson; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Jean Guy and husband Harold of Dacula, GA. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and Noon till service time on Saturday.
