Harold Ellis Bumbalough, age 87. January 2, 2014. Harold is survived by his wife, Frances, of 66 years; daughter, Mary Beth Emory (Paul); son, Hal Bumbalough (Carol); as well as four grandchildren, Robbie Quinn (Gemma), Matt Quinn (Shelbi), Andrew Bumbalough (Anne) and Laura Bumbalough; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was born on June 8, 1926 in Nashville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo Dallas Bumbalough and Irma Boatman Bumbalough Irby, and brothers, Robert Bumbalough and James Bumbalough.
Following his graduation from high school, he served in the Army for two years in the Philippines and Japan. He was president and owner of Tennessee Die Supply Company until his retirement. Harold was a member of Calvary UMC.
Harold will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cherished friend, and avid golfer who loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Interment was Saturday, January 4th at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, January 10th from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m., at Calvary United Methodist Church in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.
