Larry Nelson Fagan Sr. - Retired Captain Metropolitan Police Department.
Born September 10, 1935, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2014. He is preceded in death by parents, Beulah and Roy Fagan; his beloved sweet wife, Mrs. Susie Fagan.
Larry was born and raised in East Nashville and graduated from East High School entering into U.S. Marine Corp shortly after. Upon discharge from U.S. Marines, he returned to Nashville and began his career as a Metro Police Officer starting as a Patrol Officer and continued onto the rank of a Police Captain where he retired in 1989. During his time with the Police Department, he graduated from FBI School and furthered his law enforcement career by attending colleges that specialized in Law Enforcement.
He is survived by son, Larry Jr. (Amy); daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Thune; two beautiful granddaughters, Ms. Leslie and Lauren Thune.
Visitation Tuesday, February 4th from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 5th from 11 a.m. until service time 2 p.m. at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers: Metropolitan Police Department and life friend Mr. Jim Shick, Don Dozier and Joe D. Casey. Active Pallbearers: Jack Rohtert, Larry Hayes, Tim Durham, Sam Peach, Ron Hooper, Bobby Dobson and Bobby Kephart.
