Patrick Martin Beck, age 64 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene M. Beck, Sr. and Virginia Freeman Beck, and his uncle, Lynn B. Freeman.
Pat was a 1968 graduate of Springfield High School and a 1972 graduate of Tennessee Tech University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He did graduate work at Vanderbilt University and received his MBA from Jack C. Massey School of Business, Belmont University.
Through his professional career, Pat was employed by Textron Aerostructure, and Joe M. Rodgers and Associates, Inc. Pat was an Eagle Scout and actively involved with the Middle TN Council of Boy Scouts serving on the camping committee, the executive board and the advisory board. e most recently served as a member of the construction committee of the Latimer Reservation Project.
Pat is survived by his brother, Gene (Norma) Beck, Jr. of Springfield; niece, Julie Beck Hacker of Nashville; nephew, Taylor (Betsy) Beck of Knoxville; great-nieces, Jordan Hacker, Lucy Beck and Lyla Beck, and great-nephew, Quinn Beck.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 12th from 1 p.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m., at the Springfield First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Fred Hembree officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Latimer Reservation in c/o The Middle TN Council BSA, 3414 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215.
