Robert Logsdon DeVore
Robert Logsdon DeVore passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 4, 2013. A resident of Plainfield, IL, he died of complications from pneumonia at the age of 75.
Mr. DeVore was a country music entertainer known as Bobby Dee, who performed on many popular country music television and radio shows in the 1960s-1980s. He was well loved on the Grand Ole Opry stage, and many live music venues in Nashville, TN, California, and his home state of Kentucky. Also a recording artist, he released several records during his career, including his popular renditions of Pick Me Up on Your Way Down and They'll Never Take Her Love from Me.
Visitation will be offered on Thursday, November 7th from 4-6 p.m., at Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave, KY. The funeral will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Friday, November 8th at 10 a.m., followed by a gravesite service at Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery with military honors, conducted by Ft. Knox.
