PEERMAN, Robert Buckner - Age 56 of Nashville. October 3, 2013. Died at Saint Thomas Hospital after a brief illness. Bob Peerman was born in Nashville on June 7, 1957, the youngest child of Dr. C. Gordon Peerman Jr. and Mary Alice Peerman. He attended Parmer School and graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy. He held degrees from the University of Virginia, the University of North Carolina, and Vanderbilt University. Bob was a certified public accountant and financial planner. He worked as a manager of information networks at Nortel and as a realtor with Fridrich and Clark. He was a warm and generous friend, a dog lover from earliest childhood, and a helper to those in need. He took great pleasure in cooking for his friends and his book club and in games of all kinds. He delighted in running and walking with his dogs in the Warner Parks. His sense of humor endeared him to all those who loved him. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church and a volunteer for the Nashville Food Project. He is survived by his two brothers, C. Gordon Peerman III (Kathy) and William W. Peerman (Lisa); his nephew, Alexander Gordon Peerman; Patricia L. Peerman; his cousins, Peggy Marshall and Doug Smith. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in a service for Bob's friends and family with the Rev. Dr. Gordon Peerman officiating.
