ALEXANDER, Sara Peebles (Sally)Of Nashville, TN. May 19, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Grainger Peebles and William Rives Peebles and her husband Charles Forrest Alexander. Sally was born in Nashville on December 28, 1928 and grew up in Franklin, KY. She was a graduate of Ward Belmont and Vanderbilt University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Sally was also a member of West End United Methodist Church, Belle Meade Country Club and the Deer Park Garden Club. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her love of playing bridge with her bridge groups and her love for her family and close friends. She is survived by her daughters, Alma Alexander Franks (Michael) and Palmer Alexander Payne (Rod) of Nashville, and Claudia Alexander Haney of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and her grandchildren, Charles Alexander Franks, Sara Evaline Franks, Roderick Anthony Payne, Jr. and William Alexander Payne. The family is deeply grateful for the loving care and support provided by her "Band of Angels." A Memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at West End United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 423 Ellendale Avenue, Nashville.
