Tom C. Sharp, Jr., D.Ph.
Executive Director Emeritus of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association, died at Nashville Alive Hospice on December 23, 2013 at the age of 90.
Dr. Sharp was an Isaac Litton High School graduate, and served in New Guinea during World War II. He completed his pharmacy degree at The University of Tennessee in Memphis, and returned to Nashville to work at Sharp's Drugstore on Gallatin Road. Dr. Sharp was Executive Director of the TPA from 1964-1994 and received many professional accolades.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; brother, Charles (Julia) Sharp; daughter, Marilyn (Tom) Webster; son, Tom (Jennifer) Sharp III; two grandsons and three great- granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday (December 28th), at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Columbia at 11 a.m., with services at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. John's Churchyard.
Memorials may be made to The University of Tennessee-Memphis Pharmacy School and St. James the Less Episcopal Church.
