LAFAYETTE - A gathering of family and close friends will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette for Dennis "Dee" Usie, 62, who passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence in Breaux Bridge.
Dennis was born Thursday, July 19, 1951 in Lafayette and was a lifetime resident of Acadiana. He worked as a Fire Fighter for Lafayette for twenty-two and a half years and retired as a Captain in July 2013.
He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outside and cutting his grass. Most of all, Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who were blessed for knowing him.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Roseanna Landry Usie; son, Jamie Usie and his wife Catina; his mother, Thelma Usie; two brothers, Keith Usie and his wife Charlene and Kenneth Usie; sister Jeanie Usie; mother-in-law, Mary Landry; brother-in-law, Steve Landry and his wife Debbie; grand-daughter, Monique Ann Usie all of Breaux Bridge; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Usie and father-in-law, George "Tee Bae" Landry.
