D.L. (Red) McGuffin

BROUSSARD - D.L. (Red) McGuffin, born November 16, 1919, passed away December 28, 2013. Originally a native of Texas, Red moved to Broussard in 2005 with his wife of 66 years Mary K. McGuffin.

Red served his country in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. He then spent most of his career in the oil fields of South Texas. After retiring from the oil & gas industry, he pursued a long time interest of restoring antique vehicles. Red over the years enjoyed hunting, fishing & tinkering with just about anything mechanical.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary K. McGuffin; three sons, Bert, Bobby and Ben; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one sister, Ella Mae Higgins.

Rest in peace Papa Red, you will be missed, but never forgotten.
