Jack Edwin Kleban

LAFAYETTE - Jack Edwin Kleban, 86, passed away on February 8, 2013 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was a long time resident of Lafayette.

Jack was born on July 25, 1926 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After serving in the Marine Corp during World War II he graduated as a Petroleum Engineer from Louisiana State University. He worked in the oil business for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Rosenberg Kleban; two sons, Michael Forest Kleban and Thomas Douglas Kleban.

He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Kleban-Lanoux; a son in law, Leon P. Lanoux, Jr.; one grandson, Douglas Saltz; two granddaughters, Sarah Saltz Golsen and Lyndsey Saltz Swerdlin and their spouses; five great grandchildren, Christian Hunter, Gavin Saltz, Michael and Mia Golsen and Ryder Swerdlin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Carpenter House, a service of St. Joseph Hospice, 106150 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809
