Mavis Robin

ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Mavis Robin, age 87, who passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:35 a.m. at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate at the services.

Ms. Robin was a native and resident of Arnaudville having also resided in Baton Rouge from 1944-2002. She was employed by the State of LA and retired from LSU in November of 1988 after forty-three and a half years of service. Ms. Robin was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church and members of the Ladies Altar Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sisters, Anne David and Ruth Lorentino and her husband, Salvadore, all of Arnaudville; one brother, Herman J. Robin of Arnaudville; two sisters-in-law, Anna Lee Stelly Robin, of Abbeville and Mildred Allemond Robin of Arnaudville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Robin, Sr. and the former Ruth Arnaud, both natives of Arnaudville; three brothers, Curtis Robin, Albert Robin, Jr. and Irving "Bin" Robin; two brothers-in-law, Carroll David and Nolan Lacombe; and one sister-in-law, Sarah McGinnis Robin.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
