Carl Richard Pacheco Sr.
Carl Richard Pacheco Sr., 76, of Salinas, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at home with his family. He was born July 31, 1937 in Salinas, to his parents, Edward and Irma Pacheco, and was youngest boy, with three brothers, and two sisters, all of whom he loved and enjoyed his entire life.
He graduated from Salinas High School, and then joined the Navy, where he was a Hospital Corpsman. He loved his time in the Navy, serving his fellow Sailors. He returned to Salinas where he worked as a butcher, and then managed Salinas Meat Company and other packing houses in the bay area, until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harry Pacheco, all of Salinas.
He is survived by his son, Carl (Jill) Pacheco Jr.; daughter, Sharleen (Bob) Langley of Salinas; daughter, Carrie Pacheco of King City; brothers, Ed Pacheco of Salinas, Don Pacheco of Ione; and sisters, Edwina Blythe of Arizona, and Shirley Corley of Sutter Creek. He had six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom he was very proud and loved to be with.
Private services will be held.
