Mario "Boch" Massoni

Mario "Boch" Massoni, 95, of Salinas, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. He was born September 28, 1917, in Fresno.

He served in the U.S. Army WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. After his military service, he was a mailcarrier in Salinas for 26 years, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and NALC (National Association of Letter Carriers).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Massoni and sister, Ida Michalec.

Mario is survived by daughters, MaryAnne (Allen) Chaney of Atascadero, Joanne (Rick) Williams of Salinas; nephews, John Michalec, Robert Michalec; and five grandchildren, Blaise, Audrey, Vivian, Christopher, and Erin.

We want to thank Kim, Sila, Allie, and Gale for all of their wonderful care, love, and support.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 West San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Struve and Laporte Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone St., Salinas, CA 93901.

Military Honors and Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
