Born in Philadelphia on Sept. 2, 1927, she spent her early childhood in Exchange, Pa., before returning to Philadelphia, where she graduated Upper Darby High School in 1946. Shortly after graduating, she was employed at the International Forwarding Co. of Philadelphia before enlisting into the U.S. Air Force in 1950, where she proudly served and obtained the rank of staff sergeant. In 1968, they had returned from a European tour and settled in Bridgeton, were she began her working career. Retiring from the Manischewitz Company at age 65, she later worked part time at the Millville Walmart. Always active, she enjoyed her grandchildren, books, animals and especially her cats, gardening, travel, the arts, and had a lifelong love of theater. She was a member of the Little Theater of Vineland, now Cumberland Players for many years.
