Jose J. Suarez, 24, of Millville passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Fort Hood, Texas. Born in Vineland, he was a graduate of Millville High School, Class of 2006, where he was a track and field athlete.
He was an information systems analyst for the U.S. Army and did two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, and the Combat Action Badge.
Jose loved computers, drawing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Suarez of Texas; two children, Jose J. Suarez and Jordan I. Suarez, both of Texas; his father, Jose Suarez of Millville; his mother, Wanda Sanabria-Cruz and stepfather Arcelio of Millville; two brothers, Luis Enrique Suarez and Marcos Joel Suarez, both of Millville; two twin sisters, Mayra A. Cruz and Aracellis M. Cruz, both of Millville; two stepsisters, Nilsa Cruz and Jewelissa Cruz, both of Millville; an aunt, Yvette Ramos of Millville; two uncles, Hector Suarez of Arizona and Marcial Ramos Jr. of Vineland; and a nephew, Adrian Joel Suarez.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
