William Russling Skinner III Obituary

William Russling Skinner III, 68, of Millville died Tuesday morning, July 30, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born in Sea Isle City and he grew up in Dennisville.

He had worked in the family business, Dennisville Fence Co., before his service to the U.S. military. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1969 during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic E-2.

Most recently and in his retirement he had worked for Cape Island Marine and Egg Harbor Yacht Company. Prior to that, he had worked for 32 years for Silverton Marine until it closed. Early on he had worked for Airwork Corporation.

He attended the First Assembly of God Church of Millville.

He was an accomplished fisherman. An avid sports fan, he particularly favored the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Marie S. (Benner) Skinner; two sons, William R. Skinner IV and wife Kori, and Raymond Skinner and wife Dawn, all of Millville; one daughter, Tina Repp and husband Darrin of Newfield; one sister, Suzanne Seng and husband Paul of Delaware; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Cody and Hunter Repp, Lacey Taylor and Cameryn Skinner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service.

Burial will be in Richwood United Methodist Church Cemetery in Harrison Township.
