Crete, Ill. - Harry Otho Glover was born on Feb. 22, 1929 in Nemacolin, Pa. and passed Thursday, Oct. 21, 2013, in Crete, Ill.

Harry was a 26 year veteran of the Submarine Service, and was inducted into the prestigious submarine honor society The Holland Club. He served during World War II in the Liberation of the Philippines, in the Mediterranean and Cuba during the Korean War, and as master chief on the USS Abraham Lincoln during the Vietnam War. Harry moved from Ledyard in 2009, to live at St. James Manor and Villas in Crete, Ill.

He is survived by his daughters, Cathy (The Rev. Walter) Griesmeyer and Susan Langford; grandchildren, Aaron (Katrina) Langford and Jessica Langford; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Hancock, Azarai and Sage Langford.

A Requiem Eucharist will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at Church of the Holy Family in Park Forest, Ill., followed by full military honors. Interment will be in Rockwood, Pa.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Church of the Holy Family Organ Fund and the Neighbors Street Ministry of Church of the Good Shepherd, East Chicago, IN.
