Groton - Keith Ludlam, 54, of 38 Russ Sim Heights, Groton, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.|
He was born in Gloucester City, N.J., on Oct. 9, 1958, the son of Mary (Underwood) Ludlam of Audubon, N.J. and the late Charles W. Ludlam. Keith was married to Evelyn Ventenilla on Oct. 22, 1983, in San Francisco, Calif.
Keith served in the U.S. Navy for 19 years and then went on to work as a food service production manager at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Brian and Ryan Ludlam, both of Groton and Ian Ludlam of Orlando, Fla.; and three brothers, William Ludlam of Villas, N.J., David Ludlam of Audubon, N.J. and Michael Ludlam of Williamstown, N.J.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Rte. 12, Gales Ferry. Interment with Military Honors will be in Starr Cemetery, Groton. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton.
