North Stonington - Ronald Joseph Contino of North Stonington, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012.

He was born July 31, 1953, the son of Mike and Marie (Alger) Contino. Ronald was a master craftsman and left his pride and creative touch throughout the entire community. His true devotion to life was loving and caring for his entire family. Ron served four years in the U.S. Navy. He loved the Patriots and among his favorite memories were his fishing trips with his brothers.

He leaves behind his wife, Kim, of 32 years; as well as two daughters, Jessie and Samantha; and son, Daniel. He had three grandchildren, Annelise, Connor and Chloe. Ronald was the eldest brother of four, survived by Michael and his wife, Joyce, David and his fiance, Beth, and Rickie Contino, his business partner of 30 years, and his wife, Deborah.

Ron's family will greet relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., historic downtown Mystic. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
