New London - Susan Lee (Randall) Weaver, born on June 21, 1965, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, after a courageous battle with melonomia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Donald Weaver; and their two children, Leeanne Weaver of North Stonington and Bryan Weaver of Waterford. She is also survived by her two sisters, Irene Gibbs of Carlsbad, Calif., and Randee Jermainne of Chester; and her two younger brothers, John Ben Randall of Old Saybrook and William Randall of Springfield, Va. She will also be missed by her nine nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Velma (Keefe) Randall and John Leslie Randall of East Lyme.

Susan graduated from East Lyme High School in 1975 and attended Mohegan Community College, earning a certificate for early childhood care. For the past 15 years, Susan was employed at Home Depot in Waterford.

Susan enjoyed outdoor activities including skiing, boating and spending time with her family. She was an active participant in the Special Olympics, participating in soccer and swimming. She was always proud of her medals and achievements while participating in team and individual events.

The family would like to thank the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services of New London for their support and care. We would also like to thank the staff and doctors from Oncology & Hematology Associates of New London.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in St. Joseph Church, Squire Street, New London. Interment will be private at the convience of the family.
