Arthur R. Davis was born on February 6, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Mary and Frank Davis and passed to the other side on February 18, 2013. Survived by wife, Vanetta Davis and mother, Mary Davis and Brother, Dan (Jo) Vanderstelt, two brothers predeceased him: John Davis and Jack Davis. Survived by five daughters - Jill (Bill) Krumpeck, Judy (Mike) Eberlein, Kristina (Tim Bailey) Davis, Tracy (Ignacio) Zayas, and Tina (James) Joseph and eleven Grandchildren - Spencer, Willie, Andrew, Jacob, Marcus, Alicia, Ashley, Anthony, William, Jonathan and Wade. Art was an avid reader. Obsessed with college football and spent many years golfing with friends. He loved his dogs with all his heart. Graduated from Grand Rapids High School, Received a BA from Olivet University, Master of Psychology from Western Michigan University, Master of Divinity from Garret Theological Seminary. Also attended University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Art was a Methodist Minister for 13 years serving churches in Michigan and Illinois, an executive for U.S. Sprint running the Chicago and Milwaukee offices and worked for McGraw Hill Publishing. He touched many lives during his time on earth and will touch many more on the other side. This summer, Art's ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean at his favorite place in the world, Cambria, Calif.
