Charles H. Roberts, 93, of Thousand Palms died February 4, 2013. He was born in Denver, Colo., on July 6, 1919 to Samuel H. Roberts and Mollie Roberts. He was married to Rosemond Howey in November 1947. She passed away in 1992. Charles remarried to Angeline Elliott on June 26, 1999. He was employed in Federal Civil Service for 30 years and retired in 1972. For two years interim during World War II he served in the military. He was a life member of the Palm Springs Elks Lodge 1905. He served on several Tri Palm community groups. He served on the Tri Palm Unified Owners Assn., for six years as Human Resources Committee Chairman. He is survived by his wife, Angeline; his daughter, Carol McGarry of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at The Church of the Nazarene, 33-055 Cathedral Canyon Drive, Cathedral City, Calif. 92234.
