Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Ann (nee Johnson) Green died December 10, 2012, in Getzville, New York. She was 99 years old. Mrs. Green, a daughter of Harry Mason Johnson and Lillian White Goldrick, was born October 16, 1913 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was one of eight sisters (also Mary, Louise, Frances ("Franny"), Winifred ("Teddy"), Katherine ("Kitty"), Helen and Harriet ) and a brother, Phil. She earned a Master's degree in Microbiology from Ohio State University, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, was active in Kappa Kappa Gamma, assisted Rene Dubos in groundbreaking research at Rockefeller University, stood at the back at the New York Metropolitan Opera and met the love of her life while working in the Air-Borne Infectious Disease Laboratory of Camp Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Marie Green, and son, Joseph Kevin Green, both of whom died March 16, 1968. Thereafter she worked as a Hematology Technician at Saint John's Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis. She retired and moved to Rancho Mirage, California and lived at Sunrise Country Club. She was very active, riding her bicycle with no hands. She was a member of Coachella Valley Panhellenic, the Desert Museum and the College of the Desert Foundation. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Michael, of Memphis, Tennessee and Christopher Patrick O'Reilly-Green, of Modesto, California, seven grandchildren, Amy Lynn Thomas (Nathan) of Amherst, New York, Sarah Ann Helms (Christopher) of Denver, Colorado, Daniel Joseph Green of Charleston, South Carolina, Siobhan Clare O'Reilly-Shah (Vikas) of Lafayette, California, Meghan Shawn O'Reilly-Green (Barry Rice Rafferty) of Ossining, New York, Caitlin Malia O'Reilly-Green of Atlanta, Georgia and John Wait (Leann) of Smithfield, Virginia. She was the beloved mother-in-law of Paula O'Reilly-Green and Lydia Ann Betz Green and beloved great grandmother, great aunt, grand aunt and aunt. She will be interred in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
