Maureen Bailey Hagen died suddenly on Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2013 at Eisenhower Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1938 in Santa Monica, California, and was a lifelong resident of Los Angeles and Palm Desert. A graduate of both Marymount High School and Marymount College, Maureen was a dedicated elementary school teacher in Pacific Palisades for many years, both before and during her marriage to the late Dr. John Hagen, with whom she had two children; Amy Kathleen and John (Michael). She was a member of The Juniors of The Social Service and a volunteer at St. John's Hospital. Later in her career, she went into public relations, then real estate with Jon Douglas and Coldwell Banker before relocating to Palm Desert, where she worked and lived for the past fifteen years. Charming, beautiful and wickedly funny, Maureen was well-loved by all her many friends, who will miss her greatly. In addition to Amy and her husband, Ken and John Michael Hagen, she leaves two adoring grandchildren, Michael and Gracie Gerberry. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Burns and Elaine Malouf, and five nieces and nephews. A Mass for her will be held at St. Paul The Apostle's Church in Westwood on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM. FitzHenry-Wiefels Palm Desert in entrusted with arrangements.
