Wallace Beinfeld, 84, passed peacefully, Friday, May 10, 2013, Rancho Mirage, Calif., he was born in Brooklyn N.Y. 1929. Wally was loved by so many people and had friends all around the world. He was best known for 51 years of producing and directing the largest Antique Arms Shows and collectible knives show in the world. His 51st show in Las Vegas in January of this year was his largest and best attended show ever. Wally lived his life full of accomplishments, with great loves and many wonderful friends. Having fun and making people laugh was his greatest joy. Wallace was a renowned collector, dealer and publisher. His shows were unique in that he brought together hundreds of dealers, makers and collectors from around the world to display and sell historical firearms and hand-made quality knives in over two and a half acres of show space in the Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas, Nev. Wally was proud of his shows and unique in his industry as his shows attracted not only collectors but interested legislators, members of government agencies, Hollywood personalities, collector organizations, and dealers from around the world. He was recently acknowledged by the Las Vegas Convention Bureau as the "Longest Continuing Running Event in Las Vegas" 50 years. Wallace was instrumental in writing and passing legislation for the ethics and quality of his industry. Wally was also active in the NRA and spoke many times before the House and Senate in Washington D.C. about gun shows and gun laws. Wally proudly served in the US Marine Corp. 1946-1948and also had a very successful career in Life Insurance. He was a certified CLU. His family and friends know that Wally is already telling his many stories and making everyone laugh as only Wally could do. Wally is survived by his loving constant companion, Phyllis, daughters Donna, Ronda, and son, Scott Beinfeld and granddaughter Joanna Beinfeld.
