Wilson, Larry D.

Newfield: Larry D Wilson; age 66, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2013. He was born to William Wilson Sr and Lena Smith Wilson on December 4, 1947. He graduated from Corning High School in Corning, NY. He then served in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army, while in Vietnam, to save his sanity he would take apart a Volkswagen motor on paper and put it back together again. When he came home he worked for a local Volkswagen shop. He worked as a mechanic for 30 plus years. Larry enjoyed art/painting, riding motorcycle, horseback riding, telling stories of when he was growing up, and his cherry red Camaro. He also enjoyed doing jobs around the house, playing video games, wood work, building bird houses, and spending time with family and friends. He was a beloved and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is predeceased by both of his parents, his brother Bill Wilson, and son Robby Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife Penny Wilson, two Sisters: Linda and Melissa Wilson, four children: Coby, Rebecca, Cynthia, Michael, six grandchildren: Devante, Cameron, Colton, Cross, Nevaeh, Ava and Randy. Plus his nieces and nephews: Penny, Edward, Shell, David, BillyJo, Brandi, Mindy, Tiffany, and Logan. Plus many more. Services will be held for family and friends at West Danby Baptist Church on March 16th 2013 at 4:00pm. With a dish to pass to follow.
