Richard Jerome Cunningham, 87, of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away March 18, 2013. He was born in Sherburne, New York to William and May Cunningham on July 20, 1925. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War was honorably discharged in April, 1951. He married Stacia Sczupak Cunningham in Fulton, New York on August 2, 1947. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage before her death in 1999. Richard spent his professional career in various aspects of the egg and egg products industry. He was the general manager of GLF/Egg products division in Weedsport, New York. He was general manager of Marshall's Hatchery in Ithaca, New York and owner/operator of Eggit and Egg Specialties in Interlaken, New York. He moved to Fruitland Park, Fl from Ithaca, NY in 1992. Richard was a member of VFW Post #8083 in Summerfield, FL. Survivors: Daughter, Ellen Cunningham, Boulder, CO; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Cindy & Jim Greule, Longmont, CO; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Michael Cunningham and Andrea Dawson and grandchildren Ryan, Patrick, Dylan, and Lauren Moreland Hills, OH; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Timothy Cunningham and Janice Hartley and grandson Devin, Boulder, CO; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Daniel and Stephanie Cunningham Centennial, CO; Several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Cunningham will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013, at 8:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Wildwood, FL. Immediately followed by burial in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Disabled Veterans of America.
