Alan Dustin Basham
Alan Dustin Basham, age 83 of Clarksville, TN, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on September 24, 1929 in Fort Harrison, IN to the late Henry Basham and Allean McDonald Basham.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman chapel with Rev. Dr. Betty Meriwether, officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. with a masonic service to follow and Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Alan was a Retired U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a photographer for civil service. He was a member of the Mason, Shriner, Scottish Rites and St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Morton Basham of Clarksville, TN; son, Craig Basham of Palmyra, TN; daughter, Melanie Howell of Clarksville, TN; and three grandchildren, Jason Howell, Alissa Basham, and Dustin Basham.
Pallbearers will be Jason Howell, Steven Vialuch, Charles Clawson, John Willis, Carl Ledbetter, and Jerry Vickers.
