Diesel Mechanic

LAKE WALES - Charles W. "Charlie" Warner Jones, 84, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Grace Health Care due to heart failure.
He was born August 11, 1928 in Van Buren, Iowa to the late Paul D. and Jane L. (Sprouse) Jones and has been a resident of the area since 1967. He was a retired Diesel Mechanic. Charlie loved Lake Wales Little League he coached for many years, he liked writing western books, loved singing and cooking. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army and attended the First Assembly of God Church.
Charlie was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Jones. Survivors include his daughters, Ginger Jones of Vero Beach, Patricia Jones of Vero Beach, Gail Douglas of Orlando; sons, Eddie Jones of Panama City, Mike Jones of Panama City, Sam Jones of Kenansville, FL, Chuck Jones of Austin, TX; sisters, Joan Quick of Patoka, IL, Susie McKinley of KY; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Impact Church (formerly First Assembly of God) with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating.
