WINTER HAVEN - Airman First Class Colby G. Siegel passed away early Sunday morning, October 21st, 2012, as a result of a boating accident.
Colby was born August 18, 1992, in Avon Park, Florida. He attended Winter Haven Senior High School where he graduated in 2011. Colby achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 515 and attended The Church on the Hill in Dundee. He entered the United States Air Force on August 2, 2011, graduated technical training and was subsequently stationed at Hurlburt Field, Florida, with the 1st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Aerospace Propulsion Systems section.
Colby is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Brittany; his mother, Tammy, and father, Rick Siegel; maternal grandparents Carol and Bud Bridge of Lake Wales, FL, and Marvin Norcross of Oil City, PA; paternal grandparents Frances Heath and Karen and Bill Siegel, all of Winter Haven, FL; loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Colby was a wonderful husband, son and friend. An avid fisherman, he will be remembered for his love of the water, nature and deep love of animals. He entered into Heaven with his dog, "Mako", at his side and joins his lifetime dog, "Radar", leaving behind "Schooner". Colby will also be remembered for his passion for BMX biking and skateboarding.
A Gathering of Family and Friends and Celebration of Life was held on October 29, 2012, at The Church on the Hill in Dundee, Florida.
