TAMPA - Doyal Edgar Timmons, Jr. died in his home on October 22, 2013 of natural causes.
He was born in LaBelle, Fl. on January 6, 1927, to Doyal and Alma Tim-mons, Sr. He served in the Navy during WWII and upon his return was employed by the Fla. Game Commission.
He earned his Master's Degree in Agricultural Education at the University of Florida and taught vocational agriculture and shop in Tampa at Sligh Jr. High, King High and East Bay High in Ruskin where he was referred to as "Teach".
Mr. Timmons is survived by his daughters, Sue Tanner (Jay), Lakeland, Pat Rogers, Winter Haven; step-daughter, Litha Langford (Garry), Dunnellon; and step-son Eddie Luker (Lisa), Lakeland; ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters: Deloyce Conrad (Klaus), Seefeld, Germany and Elise Lawton (Don), Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Inez A. Timmons.
Services will be private. Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
