HAINES CITY- Lacy Stewart, 83, of Haines City passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Tampa General Hospital due to an accident he had at home 2 weeks ago.
Born March 15, 1930, he was a retired maintenance mechanic for Quaker Oats in Poinciana. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Winter Haven and a veteran of the Korean War having served his country in the U.S. Army.
Lacy was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a good friend to the many people he touched in his daily life.
He loved to fish, watch NASCAR and spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by: a daughter, Delores Johnson; a granddaughter, Terri Johnson; and ten brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillian M. Stewart, two daughters, Helen Hasty and her husband, Bill of Haines City and Kim Edwards and her husband, Gary of Winter Haven; two sons, Carlton Foster and his wife Lillian of Davenport and Tim Stewart of Haines City; a sister, Sara Jane Zink of Loughman; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport.
