Obituary Condolences

ALMA LOUISE WITTENBURG ALAMO - Alma Louise Wittenburg passed away at her home on June 23, 2013 with her family close by. She was born in April 1941. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry, father Bradford Walters Sr. and mother and father-in-law Pete and Evelyn Wittenburg. She is survived by daughters Mary Lou Freche (Greg) and Ginger Long/ Wittenburg; grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother, Pauline Walters; brothers, Brad (Clara) and Ronald (Margaret); and sister-in-law Susie Wittenburg. Louise met and married Larry while working at Dugway, Utah where Larry was stationed in the US Army. Soon they were on the move from post to post (Washington, Colorado, Georgia, New Jersey and several times in Germany). She would always work in civil service, sometimes in hospital administration. After her husband's retirement from the military, she went to work for 23 years for the McAllen, TX police department as secretary to the police chief. She then retired to stay home and care for Larry when he became ill. Family was very important to her. She was proud of her girls, and each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the Lord and taught her girls to love the Lord as well. She enjoyed playing bingo at the halls in Texas and the slot machines when she visited her Mom and Dad. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the RGV State Veteran's Cemetery. Till we meet again…. Kreidlerfuneralhome.com Sign the guest book at www.themonitor.com/obituaries
